  • Marijuana For Epilepsy

Terry Parker, a 42-year-old from Toronto, has treated his epilepsy with marijuana since he was in his teens. His disease subjected him to frequent seizures, and caused him to undergo a right temporal lobotomy in an effort to suppress the seizures. After other ineffective medical procedures, he began smoking marijuana, which lessened his symptoms. He kept a diary of drug use and effect, on the advice of his physician, and the doctor later gave him a letter specifying that he needed marijuana for medicinal purposes.

  • Let's Talk Hemp

Hemp is defined as any part of the cannabis sativa plant with no more than 0.3% of THC. Cannabis and hemp contain both CBD and THC. The main difference between the two plants is the amount of each compound they contain. Cannabis contains more THC and less CBD. Hemp contains more CBD and less THC. Hemp is among the fastest growing plants on earth, and it can be used to make a wide range of products such as rope, textiles, clothing, shoes, food, paper, bioplastics, insulation, and biofuel. Using hemp building materials not only reduces emissions and toxic chemicals being released into the environment from wood, concrete, and steel production, It is one method of reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere with the goal of reducing global climate change.

  • Let's Break The Stigma

There was always this cultural idea that if you smoked marijuana, you were dumb or destined to be a failure that wasn't going anywhere in life. The truth of the matter is you can be smart, you can be a normal person (whatever normal is) and smoke marijuana. It's monumentally a beneficial plant that will not tank your life.

Medical Marijuana opened the door to a world where the plant was viewed in a positive light. Cannabis in Canada is legal for both recreational and medicinal purposes. Still, there remains a stigma around the drug and those who use it.
